With over 25 years of government experience, Marci Jensen-Eldred is a proven leader who cares about developing others in their leadership journey. Marci worked for Yolo, Sutter and San Bernardino Counties in a variety of legal, administrative and operational roles. Prior to her retirement in 2022, Marci was the Chief Attorney for San Bernardino County Child Support Services where she oversaw the legal operations of a 500 person organization. Her previous roles include Director of the Sutter County Child Support Services and Deputy Director of Operations and Deputy Director of Administration for San Bernardino County as well as a line attorney in both Yolo and Sutter Counties. Marci holds a Juris Doctorate degree and a Masters’ in Public Administration. Throughout her career Marci focused on the development, mentoring and coaching of staff. She was instrumental in creating a Supervisor Training Program for Supervisors and Managers in San Bernardino County where she and her team trained staff not only on the fundamentals of supervision, but the practical application as well. Marci has mentored and coached many individuals through the years both in her leadership roles and through a formal mentoring program, the San Bernardino County Management and Leadership Academy. Marci is a solutions-oriented problem solver, a mentor and a coach and a trainer of a variety of topics. Marci has trained at the county, state and local level on topics ranging from Professional Ethics, Time Management, Running Effective Meetings to How to Supervise Attorneys and everything in between. Marci’s goal is to help create better organizations and better leaders who in turn can create a positive working environment for any organization.
Jamie Crabtree began his career in leadership in 1995 as a Facility Manager for a Residential Therapeutic Program for abused and neglected children. Jamie Crabtree began his career in leadership in 1995 as a Facility Manager for a Residential Therapeutic Program for abused and neglected children. He then transitioned to San Bernardino County, working for the Department of Child Support Services. Jamie spent 21 years with San Bernardino County where he has demonstrated the ability to create cohesive work units and promote collaborative, learning environments. Jamie has experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Gap Analysis, Business Process Analysis, Data Analytics and Evaluation, Policy & Procedure Development, Curriculum development, Project Management, and Leadership Development. He held leadership roles within the Department, beginning in 2002 with the last 5 years of his tenure he worked as a Deputy Director over operations. Jamie then transitioned back to working with youth as the Executive Director over a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program in Southern California. Jamie left his role as director to assist his son with his business while continuing his career in consulting and leadership coaching. He has been a coach and mentor to his direct reports as well as through the San Bernardino County Management & Leadership program. He has also coached youth in both Club and High School soccer. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science with a focus in Organizational Development and a Master’s in Business Administration. Jamie is a proven leader with strong communication skills who has successfully developed and implemented strategic plans to improve organizational performance. He looks forward to applying these skills and assisting other organizations as a consultant, coach, and trainer.
Steven Eldred has experience in city and county governments, as well as a full military career. In a varied career spanning 40 years, he worked as a paramedic, police officer, Deputy District Attorney, Supervising Attorney, Assistant Director and ultimately as the Director of one of the largest county child support agencies in California
Steven Eldred has experience in city and county governments, as well as a full military career. In a varied career spanning 40 years, he worked as a paramedic, police officer, Deputy District Attorney, Supervising Attorney, Assistant Director and ultimately as the Director of one of the largest county child support agencies in California. He holds a B.A. from U.C. Davis, a law degree and Masters in Law of Taxation from Golden Gate University, and a Masters in Public Administration from California State University. Steven’s tenure as Director of Orange County Child Support Services was notable for its emphasis on long-term investment in people – hiring, training, and supporting employees while meeting short-term goals and requirements. He and his department were known for their attention to data analytics, having profound impacts on policy and legislation at the state and national level. Steven is an experienced professional trainer, lecturing at state and national venues on topics ranging from the use of data analytics in government, ethics for attorneys and caseworkers, strategic budgeting and building long-term plans for organizations, and a variety of technical legal topics. He has also instructed military attorneys in operational law, legal practice and ethics. Steven served as an attorney in the US Army Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps, retiring after 23 years at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has service all over the world, advising military commanders on military legal topics. He served as a Command Judge Advocate for a command of 6,500 soldiers in 4 states, developing 4 teams of attorneys and legal professional soldiers. Steven’s main areas of expertise are assisting leaders in creating plans for developing staff for long-term organizational success, and using data to refine and improve business practices.
